Golden Amulets
Seasons encumbered
by winds blowing from the heavens
brown rusty plants
brittle and parched
clinging to mountainsides
Skies broil under summer's intense glare
silver buds of moisture build
swelling the bosom
of sky mother
sending bolts of silver
dancing across her palette
rippling crackling
teasing and tempting
'
Electricity crawls up the skin
skies turn yellow
with swirling flecks dipped
from an endless well of dust
of parched city streets
teasing and tempting
pressure builds
letting loose with torrents
gushers of water
winds ripping
trees tearing
lightening lashes out in whorls
crashes of thunder follow
warning
of violence yet to come
liquid gold
for desert dwellers
Driving, blinding
gold from the heavens

That was so wonderfully written. I could picture it in my mind. I love the desert and a storm makes it change clothes like no other place on earth.
